· The Staff Accountant responsibilities include month end closing activities for multiple ledgers and ensure proper review of outstanding amounts due, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.

· This position will support the Management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies.

· On the audit front, Staff accountant will manage department’s response to internal and external audit requirements and will also ensure compliance with Sox requirements for all geographies/activities handled by Shared Services.

· This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· B.Com/M.Com/MBA/CA/CWA

· Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or other accounting process is a strong plus

· Zeal towards Operational Excellence/Process improvement & simplifications

· Excellent knowledge of financial controls and procedures, US GAAP knowledge would be plus

· PC literate with advance level excel

Technical skills requirements 

We are looking for the candidates with the following: (Qualifications) 

Graduate/Post graduate in a finance, numerical or statistical background 

CA-Inter/ICWAI -Inter is desirable 

At least 6 months-3 years of experience, preferably in an accounting field (fresh graduates can apply). 

You will need to:

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Compliance
  • Overseeing and managing the end to end GST processes including compliance, audit defense,etc. with the help of the tax team

  • Strategy
  • Creating / Identifying and implementing tax opportunities by collaborating with various functions, stake holders etc.
  • Regularly scrutinizing the business to identify risk on account of existing tax positions as well as changes due to amendments and plan for mitigation.
  • Audit
  • Ensure smooth completion and filing of GST departmental Audits, assessments, provide clarification to Statutory Auditors and submit reports to Internal/ IFC Auditors
  • Undertake internal audit for evaluating tax regular compliances, tax positions adopted, etc. (with or without external consultant).
  • Advisory
  • Send alerts on changes in law regularly, provide clarification on tax impact on various transactions to stakeholders
  • Management
  • Administering a team of 15 members including talent acquisition, mentorship
  • Review and reconcile tax GLs and ensure that Tax controls are maintained, maintain trackers of assessment, litigations, hearings etc and ensure assessment readiness, develop and ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Automation

Digitize all the standard processed related to GST to ensure that the work is not human dependent



Desired Candidate Profile : Chartered Accountant/ Cost accountant

Job Title:  Accounts Payable Representative I


SCOPE

The Accounts Payable Representative I is responsible for processing the daily duties and tasks associated with the company’s operational vendors, communicating with suppliers, assisting the Accounting Department, international branches and assisting with month-end closing activities.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

The responsibilities include (are not limited to):

 

• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

• Code operational invoices to G/L accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries and posting month end accruals.

• Resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation

• Record and disburse T&E reports, reconcile and pay credit card statements

• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying, posting and proofing account transactions

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements

• Review and validate credit card and out-of-pocket expense reports submitted by company employees against company policies and process for payment

• Disburse and record EFT debit transactions; monitor leases and recurring transactions and setup payment schedules

• Calculate and maintain ledgers and government filings relating to GST

• Provide assistance to department administrators by answering inquiries about expenses

• Maintain an efficient and well organized filing system for the department and ensures items are archived and disposed of per company guidelines

• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and updating desk instructions.



QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Accounting. Freshers can also apply for this role..


Skills & certifications

• General knowledge of accounting and understanding of GL accounts required

• PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet, e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other software

• Work proactively to identify, investigate, and report irregularities within designated area of responsibility

• Must be a team-player, have high integrity, be ethical and discreet

• Ability to conduct training and cross training of knowledge and expertise within area of responsibility
