Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The Business Performance Analyst supports the Polyurethanes European Business Performance Team and the Global Elastomers Business Performance team in the preparation of systematic performance reports, ad-hoc analyses and key Performance Management projects

Principal Accountabilities:

Deliver accurate and timely month-end financial actuals and related management reports, analysis, and presentations

Support data integrity improvements for reported business results

Fully automate performance management reporting to provide quick access to information and mitigate the use of time-consuming spreadsheet reporting.

Master data checks, updates, and maintenance for all key systems (such as but not limited to SAP, H-SIMS, IBM Planning & Analytics) on a monthly basis

Supporting H-SIMS and IBM Planning & Analytics related roll out phases and development of Business Performance relevant key reports

Monitoring customer profitability and working with the business team to ensure necessary actions are taken

Review customer pricing, payment terms and supply contracts and financing arrangements, providing recommendations to those involved in the subsequent approval

Educate business team members in the use of financial tools and information

Requirements:

This position requires a degree within the Finance discipline (CMA, ICWA, M. Com) with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in reporting & analysis. Chemical industry experience is a plus

To demonstrate an understanding of business concepts

A flexible attitude towards work, comfortable with working in job role where tasks may change

The ability to structure information and to clearly report and communicate conclusions drawn from that information.

The ability to work independently with large data volumes from multiple sources and act as a self-starter.

Affinity with information systems as depository and source of performance data is required

Strong analytical skills with high level of accuracy and quality

Results oriented with sense for initiative and self-development and the ability to work to tight deadlines

An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Proficiency in English is required
